The brief snapshot they showed of the internals shows the same layout for the logic board meaning that the repair process will be similar to the iX. The pricing for screens should be in line with that of the IX when it was released. Reparability Pros: The process based on initial findings appears similar to the iPhone X. Aftermarket OLED technology is beginning to mature due to the iPhone X. The screens should be available for a lower cost an shorter time than that of the iX. Reparability Cons: The cost of the screen will most likely be high once available and will take some time do decrease. Reparability Score: 8/10 (1 hard – 10 easy)   iPhone XS Max This device has the largest display and battery that Apple has ever released for an iPhone. This device also comes in a wider variety of colors (6) than the XS and XS Max. This device should have the screen available first and at a lowest cost than the iXS and iXS Max versions. Reparability Cons: Initial screen availability Reparability Score: 9/10 (1 hard – 10 easy)   Apple Watch 4 The main update in the latest version of the Apple watch is in regards to the display and the heartrate sensor. The display is now edge to edge which provides a larger viewing area than the previous versions. The heart rate sensor has been updated as well to collect more data than before including being able to sense heart arrhythmia. This latest iOS version will mainly add features to the newer devices but will improve performance on all. Once this iOS version releases, eTech Parts Plus will test parts across all devices for any potential software related issues. We also anticipate that the release of this iOS version will resolve the auto-brightness issue currently experience on the i8 and i8+ when replacing the screen.
