Are your parts quality tested?

Over the last couple of  years I must have heard the question asked a hundred times in one form or another:  "Are your replacement iPhone screens of good quality and are they tested?" That person has often had bad experiences purchasing repair parts for iPhones or iPads. The answer is a resounding "Yes!" and is supported by the testimonials of hundreds of repair shops purchasing from us weekly and following us on Facebook and Twitter. There are two points I'd like to make in this post. First, from a business standpoint, since most of our customers are repair shops, not having the best quality and not testing our screens would spell disaster. So I want to give you a glimpse into the process.  Second, quality and value is what drives us, not price. I am constantly bombarded with lower price offers from vendors and turn them down repeatedly. The relationship with you, our vendors, our factories and our repair shops is what matters, not just price. As a repair shop owner you know that if you see a customer twice for the same repair you have wasted your time and money, not counting the potential referrals you would have otherwise received, had you paid the right price the first time around.  We operate the same way. It sounds self-serving but trust me when I say it is worth every penny to spend a couple dollars more on a screen upfront than to search for the cheapest bargain on eBay or Amazon several times over for the same customer.  We don't hunt for the lowest price and neither should you. Now, if prices of the components come down we gladly pass these savings along to the repair shops so they can remain competitive in the marketplace. I am posting a few pictures I took during my last trip to China which show that testing at our factories is of utmost importance.  From a manufacturing standpoint, it makes little sense to waste a perfectly working LCD (the most expensive part of the assembly) on a non-tested, defective digitizer or a dirty piece of glass, and vice versa. These defective components are rejected before the assembly begins. Every digitizer is carefully tested before being glued with optical clear adhesive to a pristine piece of glass. People work very hard to ensure that the glass and digitizers are dust-free before being assembled.   iPad digitizer and glass assemblies follow a similar testing process though the equipment will vary. Each step of the process is carefully supervised to ensure a quality assembly. We use only original Grade A quality LCDs and we pay more for them. Cheaper screens you may have come across use B Grade LCDs, mostly made by unknown manufacturers. They are unstable, have a high failure rate often a week or two down the road, and are unworthy by our factory standards. We use only the best. LCDs are individually tested for dead pixels, lines, and stability before being assembled. Once assembled the whole unit is once again tested before being shipped.  A logic board is used to test the full assemblies before shipping to eTech Parts. Value is what you should sell to your customers, not price. Find your value proposition and find success.
