Don't Try This at Home

This week Apple announced its first weekend sales of 13 million new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models, once again setting a new record for iPhone launch sales! This is up from 10 million new devices last year. At eTech Parts we love the drop, dunk, and torture test videos that come out the week after a new phone is released. Once again, we put together some of our favorite videos for your viewing pleasure. Please enjoy, but seriously, don't try this at home!

Drop Tests

Drops from the drone are always some of our favorite drops.

Dropped like it's hot? Maybe not, but drops from all angles show various types of damage.

Dropped facedown and still intact? This must be a magical iPhone 6s!

This may not be 100 percent scientific, but a good look at how things have changed since #bendgate.

Dunk Tests

We know you were wondering what would happen if you dropped your iPhone 6s in something other than water.

This test turns up the heat on dunk tests.

Some of our Twitter followers were skeptical about this one. Though the phone isn't waterproof, it does seem some changes have been made inside the phone to help keep water out of certain places.

Torture Tests

Spoiler alert: He decides to do more than scratch the iPhone 6s.

You won't believe this, but the new iPhone 6s is not bulletproof.

Utter destruction sums this up pretty well.

You may have thought about taking a hammer to your phone when it takes too long to load on a slow WiFi network? Perhaps you can watch this video instead.

Cheerful music and some festive fireworks are a great way to end this week indeed.
