Glass-only repairs are becoming a common repair service offered in
repair shops around the world, as technicians add another useful skill to their set for mobile device repair. While this repair is quite difficult and can lead to LCD damage if performed incorrectly, technicians everywhere are diving in to learn more and practice this skill until it’s perfect.
So you remove the broken glass from the LCD,
carefully so that you don’t damage the LCD. But how do you get all that sticky old adhesive off?
We have just the solution!
UNDO GLUE Adhesive Remover
UnDo Glue Adhesive Remover is the perfect universal debonder/
glue remover. You can use it to get glue off just about anything, but its intended use is for cleaning adhesive off the glass on an iPhone, iPad, iPod or other electronic device. This stuff is potent and a little goes a long way – so use it sparingly!
Simply apply
UnDo Glue with a Q-Tip or small syringe to the adhesive and work slowly. This should get the adhesive right off that glass or LCD and it works great on
LOCA. Be sure to use isopropyl alcohol on the treated area prior to putting more glue/adhesive on, otherwise you’ll have a surplus of less-than-sticky adhesive on your hands.
We tested dozens of glue removers and debonders before we finally found one that worked well in all tests, against all sorts of adhesives. Our in-house technician David uses this stuff all the time for removing the LOCA off LCDs and getting old adhesive off iPads and iPhones. Trust us - it really works!
Have you had luck with using
debonder for glass-only repairs? If not, what do you prefer to use?
