Kudos to Apple

Apple has impressed me once again. Nicky H. had sent her white MacBook Core 2 Duo in to have the screen repaired.  She desperately needed her computer back in working condition for school so we got to work on it right away.  As soon as we removed the screen bezel it was obvious a pinched inverter cable was causing her dim screen problem.  When we called Nicky with the diagnosis she explained to us that she had sent the MacBook to Apple to have a cracked screen replaced over a year ago and wondered if this issue was related to the repair they did.  Since the inverter cable had been trapped between the metal clutch brace and the plastic bezel clip I explained it was possible it took a long time to finally wear through the wire insulation and short out the screen.  Nicky called Apple and explained the situation hoping they would stand behind their work even though it had been more than a year since the repair.  The same day, Tim from Apple called us and I explained my findings.  The end result is that Apple agreed to repair Nicky's MacBook for free and even paid to have the computer picked up from us Priority overnight by Fedex.  Great Job Apple!
