Small Business Social Media 101

After we analyzed the results of our eTech Parts Media and Business Community Survey, it was clear to us that we had some work to do. Not that we got bad feedback or anything, but our customers had SO many great ideas and topics of discussion/dissection that we couldn’t wait to get started on it all!   The one I’m personally most excited to get started on?   Screen Shot 2013-11-18 at 4.04.55 PM   Over 75% of respondents showed interest in learning more about using social media as a way to promote business. Though most respondents say they utilize Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites for business, it sounds like they want to know more. What better way to learn than with a weekly crash-course on social media business best practices? Sounds like the beginning of a blog series… Small Business Social Media 101!  

Social Media Tip #1:

Using social media platforms to promote your business is the modern day equivalent of running an advertising campaign, so every word counts! Try writing your posts out ahead of time to give yourself the freedom to edit and proofread prior to publishing the post. You could even have a friend or coworker proofread your post for any punctuation, spelling, or grammatical errors.
