The Spudger : A Tool of Mystery
According to various sources on the Internet, the word “spudger” originates from the late Middle English word “spuddle,” or short knife. This vague definition is questionable, as the word spuddle dates all the way back to 1425 and seems to have remained unchanged for 500 years until this handy tool was created. But who invented the spudger, and why did it receive such a silly name? How long has the spudger been in use?
