IPHONE 11 AND NEWER REPAIR DISCLAIMER
The software present on the iPhone 11 and newer cause a message to display reading ““Display may not be genuine” once the screen has been replaced. This is also true if an Apple original screen is installed onto the device. The message comes from the serial of the new screen not matching the serial the logic board of the device has registered. Currently the only repair facility capable of reprogramming these devices is Apple. The repair can be completed by a 3rd-party; however, the following must be understood by the customer prior to doing so:
Display message will appear on lock screen for 4 days
Then General settings for 15 days displaying a red badge on the settings icon
Then iPhone settings (deeper in the settings options) and will remain
The repair does not cause any issues with functionality. The message is currently the only drawback of completing an iPhone 11 or newer repair.
