How to Prepare for the Wireless Repair Expo

"Success always comes when preparation meets opportunity." - Henry Hartman If you’re attending the Wireless Repair Expo in Las Vegas this September, preparation is key; with daily presentations, hands-on workshops, classes, and much more, you’ll have a lot to see in a very short amount of time. There are dozens of opportunities we hope you take full advantage of, but success doesn't happen without a little preparation. Here’s what you can do to get the most out of your trip to CTIA! Know Your Goals

First, ask yourself why you’re attending the Wireless Repair Expo. Do you want to participate in specific training or workshop sessions? Are you looking forward to networking with other members of the Repair Community? Perhaps you want to meet with vendors, or set up a private meeting with eTech Parts. Prioritizing your goals ahead of time is the best way to ensure a positive outcome for you and your repair business. Knowing what workshops you want to attend and who you want to meet with leaves less to chance and allows you to focus on your goals once you arrive.

Sign up for Your Free Pass

Do you have your pass to the Wireless Repair Expo? If you don’t, there’s still time to sign up before it’s too late. Check out WirelessRepairExpo.com to sign up for your free pass. You can sign up for the free workshop courses, and repair certification and training sessions here too.

Preparation is Key

When it comes to tradeshows, your best option is to plan ahead as much as possible. While not every single aspect of a trip can be planned, the fewer things left up to chance will increase your likelihood of success. Once you know your goals, you can prepare your plan of action. Plan your days ahead of time. Sign up for the workshops you want to attend (they are booking up QUICK so this one is a priority), reach out to the people you would like to meet with, and check out the virtual CTIA Floor Plan to find the booths and stage presentations you want to attend.

Remember Your Snacks and Battery Power

If you’re on a budget (or hypoglycemic), packing snacks for your trip is always a good idea. No one has ever complained about having too many snacks on hand while traveling. Luckily the Wireless Repair Expo pavilion occupies prime location right next to the food trucks at CTIA, so finding a good meal probably won’t be a challenge for anyone. While snacks are optional, extra battery power is a necessity at a tech convention. You’ll be using your phone all day so be sure to have plenty of backup charging cables and power banks available for when – not if – your battery gets low. We used the Naztech Powercase for iPhone 5/5s every single day at CES this past year and they were the most helpful accessories we had. You can charge the case at night and have a whole extra charge for your phone the next day.

Dress Appropriately

The average temperature in Las Vegas for September is 95° F so make sure you pack and dress appropriately. While you can expect it to be pretty toasty outside, you’ll probably be pretty cool when you’re indoors at the tradeshow. Dressing in layers will come in handy – and if you guys out there are stumped on what to wear for the tradeshow, we suggest checking out this article on dressing sharp at business conferences.

Lighten Your Load

While you want to make sure you’re prepared for your days at CTIA, be sure to pack light. If you’re taking a backpack (we suggest the Spigen Coated Backpack), you might leave the laptop and heavy machinery at the hotel. By the end of the day you’ll have bags of promotional swag from vendors and workshops, and lugging around a 20lb backpack is the last thing you’ll want to do come 3PM in steamy Las Vegas.

IMG_2263We doubt Jeremy will oblige to carry your backpack at the show, so be sure to pack light for the conference.
